A TASTE OF MAURITANIA (4 DAYS TOUR)
DAY 0
Pick up from Nouakchott airport and drive to your hotel.
DAY 1
After breakfast at 8:00, we will start the transfert to Chinguetti. We will have a stop in Akjoujit (260 km, about 3:00 hours driving) around 11:30. Then we will drive till Atar (180 km, 2:15 driving), the capital of the Adrar region, where we can relax a bit and have our lunch. After eating, we will enter the pink-brown sandstones canyon who leads to Amojjar pass, then we will proceed to Chinguetti (86 km, 1:30 hours) and will stop to enjoy sunset among big sand dunes near the city, before reaching our hotel for dinner. Night in Chinguetti.

DAY 2
We will visit both the New and Old Town of Chinguetti and one of the historical libraries that made this city designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, we will drive east and, on the road to Ouadane (90 km, 2:00 hours) we will have a refreshing stop in Tanouchert enjoying a tea with local people. We will reach Oudane, another city considered a World Heritage Site, in time for our lunch. In the afternoon we will discover the fascinating ruins and the small modern settlement outside its gates. Dinner and night in Oudane.

DAY 3
After breakfast we will drive back to west viewing Agrour Amojjar, the large oasis of Mhaïreth and, after crossing the sandy White Valley, we will enjoy the impressive landscapes offered to our eyes by the scenic Tifoujar Pass. Then we will reach the oasis of Terjit (270 km, 5:00) where we will have our lunch. After visiting the spring that originate this pristine place we will drive back to Atar (45 km, 0:50 hours), where we will have a delicious dinner cheered by traditional music. Night in Atar.

DAY 4
Breakfast at 07:30 before the long transfer to Nouakchott (438 km), that we will reach in about 5 hours. After our lunch in a beautiful restaurant, we will visit the capital highlights: the Saudi Arabian Mosque, the camels market and the vibrant (and very photogenic) Fish Market. In the evening dinner at the restaurant and drive to your hotel in Nouakchott.
DAY 5
Drive to Nouakchott international airport for your return flight.
